- Geophysical Surveys
For the execution of geophysical surveys, STEMA uses the in-house developed SILAS® software to record acoustic reflections. The software can be used with most acoustic sources in order to obtain optimal records for geophysical- and geotechnical investigations. In this aspect, Stema has performed a large number of site surveys for the geotechnical investigation of canals, rivers and seabottoms.

- Environmental surveys
In many countries the coming years canals and lakes will be dredged for cleaning up the polluted sediments. Our Silas software can support surveyors to determine the different sediment and subbottom layers in order to define where the contamination is concentrated. In practice this means that less sampling is required to accurately define the different polluted area's in the subbottom. For more info we can sent you results of various projects which have been supported by Silas: stema@stema-survey.com

- Hydrographic Surveys
For the hydrographic offshore industry, STEMA has qualified staff available, including hydrographic surveyors, geologists / geohysicists and electronics engineers. Decennia of world-wide experience enable us to handle a great variety of survey tasks, such as jacket installations, site surveys, pipeline inspections, tow-out control and monitoring, underwater- and surface construction support.

- Construction Support
Using the most up-to-date measurement techniques, STEMA provides tailor-made survey support for a wide variety of on- and offshore construction projects. Underwater concrete installation, ground-anchors installation, tunnel construction, pile and bridge installations can be controlled by STEMA survey systems, varying from GPS-RTK systems to underwater hydrostatic levelling techniques. After gaining several years of experience in providing positioning support to various kinds of onshore and offshore operations STEMA designed a sophisticated system for pile positioning. The Pile Positioning System (PPS) provides operators with real time rake and position information while pitching or driving piles. The PPS has been designed with a user friendly interface making it easy accessible. The equiment consist of a PC with PPS software, sensors, electronic positioning system such as GPS and Total Stations with telemetry link. As-built information is stored on hard-disk for the as-built report.

- Dredging Support
STEMA has a wide range of experience and in-house expertise to meet most of the dredging industries needs and equipment requirements. Services vary from sand deposit localisation, land surveys, bathymetric surveys, dredging- and construction survey control, volume measurements, soil investigations, sediment transport monitoring, environmental surveys, underwater inspection and system design.

- System Development
Where no equipment suitable for a specific task is available, STEMA can design and manufacture systems to client's specifications. Our engineering department is capable of designing advanced survey systems for the deployment under the most adverse circumstances, from Pole to Equator. During numerous projects, our systems have proven that STEMA techniques provides more efficient project management.
